Sign our Petition

Pledges and petitions are ways of letting politicians or companies know that people care about our wild life and wild places.

If enough people sign a pledge or petition then politicians and companies have to listen because we are the people that vote and buy their products.

It’s really easy to do!

Save Our Sharks!

Photo: P Mesley

Sharks were around before the dinosaurs and have been cruising the oceans for 400 million years. Now some of them are in trouble because of a soup! Shark fin soup is really popular in some countries and some people catch sharks, cut off their fins and then chuck them back in the sea! This isn’t just wasteful but also isn’t good for our sharks.

This pledge supports making it illegal to take the fins off sharks and chuck the rest of it back in the water.

Lifeline for Longfins

Eels might seem slimy and look a bit scary but they are amazing! Unfortunately our longfin eels are becoming rare because people are catching too many and some of our rivers are becoming polluted.

Learn more about them here

This petition is asking for the Minister of Fisheries to think about only letting a few eels get caught for people to eat so we can prevent them from becoming extinct.

Save our Whales

Humpback whale. Lots of whales make noises, but humpbacks 'sing'
Humpback whales. Lots of whales make noises, but humpback whales are the only ones that can sing!

Norway, Japan and Iceland want to start killing whales, so that they can sell their whale meat and blubber. Sign this petition to help these amazing creatures.
