The Ancient Islands. New Zealand's Natural Environments. By Brian Enting and Les Molloy. Published by Port Nicholson Press. This book explores the interesting plants and animals of New Zealand. The introduction is a thorough account of New Zealand's past.

New Zealand Wild. The Greenest Place on Earth. By Nic Bishop. Published by Reed. A look into the beauty of New Zealand and it's history, with beautiful colour photographs. Reaading level intermediate and above. (This book is no longer in print, but you may find it in the library.)

New Zealand Wild - The Shaping of New Zealand. By Brian O’Flaherty. Published by Reed Publishing (NZ) Ltd. Great forces have created the New Zealand landscape and continue to shape it today. Learn how New Zealand arrived at its present location on earth’s surface.
