Black Robin Country: the Chatham Islands and its wildlife. By David Cemmick and Dick Veitch. Published by Hodder and Stoughton. Beautifully illustrated, suitable for 10yrs - adults.

Endangered Birds. By Lynette Moon. Published by Lands End Publishing Ltd. Primary level reading about endangered and extinct birds with a chapter on the black robin.

Old Blue. The Rarest Bird in the World. By Mary Taylor. Published by Ashton Scholastic. This beautiful book tells the amazing story of the black robin - a wonderful book for all ages to enjoy. This book won the Aim non-fiction prize in 1994.

The Black Robin. Saving the World’s Most Endangered Bird. By David Butler and Don Merton. Published by Oxford University Press. This book is a detailed account of saving the black robin – suited to adult readers.

The Chatham Islands. Heritage and Conservation. Published by the Canterbury University Press in association with the Department of Conservation. Adult reading level about the history and nature of the Chatham Islands.
